Ranges and Finishes
Choosing the perfect products for your bathroom can be tricky so we thought some additional information on the fabulous array of ranges and finishes we have available at the Cast Iron Bath Company might help you in your decision making process
Traditional Collection
Our Aysgarth and Linton brassware is elegant and understated and will enhance any bathroom. The Calder range of showers are beautifully designed to complement the Aysgarth and Linton tapware. Our traditional collection is available in chrome, polished nickel, polished brass and gold.
Chrome Finish
Chrome is the hardest and most durable finish which has been electroplated to the brass. It is a brilliant silver with a hint of blue. This classic finish suits all styles of brassware and requires little day-to-day maintenance.
Polished Nickel
Polished nickel has a more delicate and warmer finish than chrome. It can change over time as it patinas with its environment.
Polished Brass
Polished brass is raw brass and unlacquered. It is shiny and has been hand-polished. It will change and enrichen as it reacts with its environment – we describe this as a ‘living finish’.
Gold Finish
Contemporary Collection
Taking inspiration from 1920's Bauhaus with its clean geometric design, the Elbe shower range is the perfect complement to the Bayor and Senska tapware ranges. Our Bauhaus collection is available in chrome, brushed nickel, brushed brass, polished brass and matt black.
Chrome Finish
Chrome is the hardest and most durable finish which has been electroplated to the brass. It is a brilliant silver with a hint of blue. This classic finish suits all styles of brassware and requires little day-to-day maintenance.
Brushed Nickel
Our brushed nickel finish is created using the PVD process, producing a smooth surface with the soft, muted sheen of nickel, subtly textured as if gently brushed with a fine wire. The result is a warm, sophisticated tone that complements a wide range of design styles.
Brushed Brass
Our brushed brass finish is also made using PVD process, the result is a smooth finish but with the appearance of having been rubbed with a fine wire brush.
Polished Brass
Polished brass is raw brass and unlacquered. It is shiny and has been hand-polished. It will change and enrichen as it reacts with its environment – we describe this as a ‘living finish’.
Matt Black
Our matt black tapware is made using the PVD process resulting in a smooth solid black which is durable and hardwearing.
Polished Brass that has been left to age
Living Finishes
Polished Nickel and Polished Brass should be considered ‘Living Finishes’.
These have no protective coating and form a natural patina that will age.
The surface patina will darken in areas that are infrequently handled and appear highlighted in those that are frequently handled.
